Your answer and the key
What you chose, or that you left the question blank, beside the correct answer.
Every question in Vettamed has a worked solution. After a paper or a set, you go through each one with your answer beside the key and the working laid out in full.
A specimen
This public specimen shows review at its most complete: the step that decides the question, a reason for every option, and the method to keep for the next question of its kind.
Mathematical thinking · symbols in place of variables
The symbols ◆, ● and ▲ each stand for an integer. They satisfy:
◆ + ● + ▲ = 5
2◆ − ● + ▲ = −3
◆ − ● + ▲ = −1
What is the value of ●?
The decisive step
Equations 1 and 3 differ only in ●. Subtract one from the other and ◆ and ▲ cancel: 2● = 6, so ● = 3. The full solution is ◆ = −2, ● = 3, ▲ = 4.
Why each option stands or falls
Method that transfers. Before solving a system, look for two equations that differ in a single term. Subtracting them isolates that term in one step.
In every review
Whichever question you open, the review follows the same order, so you always know where to look.
What you chose, or that you left the question blank, beside the correct answer.
The full working from the question to the key, one step at a time.
Where a question has them, reveal the reasoning one step at a time and try the next step yourself before you read it.
If a key, a figure or the wording looks wrong to you, report it from the review. The report reaches the content team with the exact version you saw.
Review queue
Questions you miss go to your review queue with their worked solutions, so you can return to the skill behind each one and test it again.
