Full papers

Complete HUMAT papers in the 2026 format, sat in Exam Mode under test-day rules: three timed sections, a reserve phase, and results scored for both programmes.

66
questions per paper
132
minutes, in four timed phases
2
weightings in every result

One paper

Start to finish in 132 minutes.

A paper runs as the HUMAT does: three scored sections in a fixed order, each on its own clock, then the reserve questions. When a section ends, by time or by choice, its answers are locked and the next section opens.

  1. Scientific Thinking · Academic Literacy

Ten reasoning questions and ten on academic texts.

  2. Biology · Chemistry

Ten of each. Opens as SA closes.

  3. Mathematics · Physics

Ten of each, without a calculator.

  4. Reserve

Six questions across the subjects, used only if a scored question is withdrawn.

Exam Mode

The controls you will use on the day.

Exam Mode fills the screen and stays in front until you submit. Its controls follow the test-day player, down to what happens to a flagged answer when a section closes.

  1. 1. Section clock

Each section counts down on its own: 45, 35 and 40 minutes, then 12 for the reserve. At zero the section closes, answered or not.

  2. 2. “End section”

Close a section early and move on. Once closed, it cannot be reopened.

  3. 3. Question grid

Every question in the section. Green marks a confirmed answer; yellow with a question mark, one you flagged to review.

  4. 4. “I omit the answer”

Counts as no answer and scores zero, the same as leaving the question blank.

  5. 5. “to review”

Keeps your answer and flags the question. When the section closes, a flagged answer stands.

  6. 6. “Confirm and continue”

Records your choice and moves to the next question.

After you submit

Results under both weightings.

Results stay sealed until the whole paper is submitted. You then see each section’s right, wrong and omitted answers, your points for Medicine & Surgery and for MEDTEC, and where each section stands against its minimum. A practice score describes one sitting; it does not predict an official result.

Above 192, and still short

In this specimen the total clears 192 under both weightings, but Mathematics & Physics falls below its minimum. The HUMAT sets a minimum for every section, and a strong result in one section does not cancel a score below the minimum in another.
